What is the Connextions Program?
A 20-week employment program for newcomer women and gender-diverse folks (ages 18+) experiencing barriers to employment.
Connextions includes:
A paid 8-week in-person employment skills development group program, including:
Resume and cover letter development
Career and education exploration
First Aid and CPR Certification
A paid 12-week work placement in a field of interest.
Program Eligibility:
An immigrant woman or gender-diverse person (ages 18+)
Legally allowed to work in Newfoundland and Labrador
Currently not studying, unemployed, or underemployed (working less than 20 hours/week)
Able to attend programming for 30 hours a week

The YWCA St. John’s Connextions Program is funded by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, from the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism.
